Your tithes and gifts are vitally important to the ministry of our church! We ask that you prayerfully consider how God is leading you to give. “Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.” – I Corinthians 12:27
This year is a great opportunity to continue last year's momentum — expanding our reach in Lexington and beyond — but, to do this, Saxe Gotha needs your support, commitment and pledge.
With your pledge, you provide our church leaders with the information needed to craft a budget for the life and work of the church – one that best focuses our resources and helps plan for the year ahead. Pledging also helps members of our congregation with their own budgets, as it sets the amount that we prepare to give each week/month, thus insuring that the Lord gets the “First Fruits.” A pledge is an estimate of giving. You may adjust the amount of your pledge at any time during the year by contacting the church office.
The commitment card includes two opportunities for us to help our church flourish through our gifts. The first, and most vital, is with a pledge to the yearly church budget for the work and outreach of the church. This pledge provides the financial resources necessary for the many and wonderful ministries at Saxe Gotha, as well as to pay the bills necessary for weekly church operations. We encourage you to make this pledge your first priority.
In addition, you may pledge to the “Debt Free in 3” campaign. The goal of DF3 is for our congregation to retire the remaining balance on the church mortgage by August 2019. This is an ‘over and above’ gift. Early payoff of our mortgage will allow funds allocated to those monthly payments to be used for many opportunities to glorify God for years to come! (Note: Well done good and faithful servants! During the first two years, over $875,000 has been given towards DF3.)
After discerning what the Lord is calling you to give, please complete the pledge card linked below. Commitment Sunday was November 4, but it's not too late to give. You may mail your card to the church, drop it off at the church office or place it in the offering plate.
As you make your pledge for 2019, may you experience the joy of giving and the satisfaction of knowing the significant impact Saxe Gotha has in our community and around the world.
