Faith, Actively

Saxe Gotha is a Christ-Centered Church that believes the Bible is the ultimate Authority. Our members are not only rewarded personally by participating at Saxe Gotha, but are also strengthened in faith and help to lead others in their spiritual journeys. At Saxe Gotha, we strive to Give God Joy through Worship, Growth and Service.

What We Believe

Holy Trinity Icon

Holy Trinity

We worship and serve the one eternal, triune God who rules over all and who has revealed himself in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Bible Icon

The Bible

We submit to the teaching of the Bible which is the written Word of God and the only infallible rule of faith and practice. The Scriptures testify to God’s magnificent plan of salvation which culminates in Jesus Christ who was both fully human and fully God.
Jesus Christ icon

Jesus Christ

We rely on God’s grace that is most clearly revealed in Jesus Christ who made a full, perfect, and sufficient sacrifice for our sins and the sins of the world on the cross. The Good News is that Jesus Christ is risen and that we are forgiven and reconciled to God. We are saved by God’s grace alone.
Christian Life is a journey Icon

Our Journey

We recognize that the Christian life is a journey. Though we belong to Christ, we continue to struggle with sin and do not live a life worthy of His name. Yet we work to be faithful as we place every area of our lives under his authority and grow into the fullness of Jesus Christ.
Family Values Icon

Family Values

We hold to the biblical structure of marriage and family with the sole expression of sexual intimacy being reserved for a lifelong marriage between one man and one woman as biologically designed by birth.

His Return

We celebrate the presence of our risen Lord in our daily lives by seeking to give God joy in all that we say and do and anticipating the day when Christ will return and establish His eternal kingdom.

Giving God Joy through Worship, Growth and Service

We are changed by the power of Jesus Christ – we are new creations in Him.

Celebrating this new reality:

  • We engage in vibrant worship.
  • We study His Word and pray.
  • We seek His guidance and humbly obey.
  • We are continually growing in our relationship with Him.

Recognizing that we are not our own but belong to Christ:

  • We constantly seek to give God joy in all that we say and do.
  • We turn from the values of the world and boldly live out the teachings of Scripture.
  • We express Christ’s love by promoting healthy relationships with one another.
  • We are committed to becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Dedicating ourselves to the Great Commission:

  • We actively, purposefully, and passionately take the message of hope to others.
  • We seek the lost, strengthen the weak and nurture the broken.
  • We work to change lives through the power of the gospel in word and deed.
